Whetton Christmas party

We have always have done a brunch for Christmas day with the Whetton side and this year with everyone in different stages of life we have decided to do a family dinner the Sunday before Christmas for now on. This time we met at Kathy and Chads house in Bountiful. SO after 27 years we have changed tradition and it was different but fun. The kids under 18 are the only ones that get gifts. Kind of a bummer for the ones that aren't married yet. Angie and Colton have been married 2 years as well! Russell and Angie are brother and sister, they were married with in three weeks of each other. Angie and Colton live up in Evanston Wyoming. It was fun to see them as well for it has been a long time.

I should of stood up to take this picture to go over Chads head =)

Here is the oldest of the bunch. Russell and Liz have been married for 2 years. It was so fun to see them again.
Venus is 16 and is Kathy and Chad's daughter. This year the party was at their house.

Darling little McKenna looking at Santa Claus through the globe and watching it snow. She will be 2 years in February. She is so sweet. We gave her two books that have characters that jump out to get her.

This is Kellie and she is 13 and she was very forgiving of us for we left her present home under our tree! But they stopped at our home on the way home and picked up her gift. Cute teenager.

This is Jake and he is 9 years old. He is having fun with the red bow. He always has us laughing and can out eat anyone of us. Very cute kid!
Malaya is 5 and loves to sing. She is very smart and picks up on things very fast. She got a princess sing a long from us.
Connor is 10 and he loves anything that has to do with a computer or any gadget that makes noise! When he was three he was teaching me how to play a game on the computer. We gave both the boys electronic Pokemon games.

Christmas cards from family and friends

Full Moon with ring around it!

Tonight we were coming out of the Dee Event Center after
ushering WSU game and we all were commenting on the
beautiful moon and how it had this huge ring around it. I
was so cold and when I got home my friend Shell
text me and told me to look at the moon! SO I went
out to look at it again this time it was right over our deck
so I grabbed the camera and tried to capture it. This is
what it looked like. The clouds were in front
of the moon so it looks cloudy. It was so gorgeous!
When I was in primary and had the three year olds
for seven years, seeing a full moon was a warning to
be prepared for trouble! I wonder what a
full moon and a ring would mean? I'm glad that
I will not find out. Good luck to all of you
Primary teachers! lol
Well according to the news and the native indians
the ring means a big storm is to hit in 5 days!

Saturday was a long day starting with the Body World Exhibit, bridal shower, shopping, eating then we headed to Temple Square with everyone that lived in Utah I swear! There were people everywhere and you could hardly move. I guess they were all tired of Wal Mart! David and Bonnie were down from Mountain Home Idaho with their nine children for Thanksgiving. The lights were amazing and I loved how they had Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus floating in the reflection pound. They had little glass jars with lights in them to look like candles that were floating around the statues. The shepherds were on both sides of the pound set up on the grass. It was a nice night and was really not all that cold. Then we went home so I could put together 2 homade soups and a quilt for Emy Sue. Here are some pictures of the family!
