Happy Birthday Am!

Our church starts at nine in the morning and so I had to go wake up the girls and give Am her birthday present. I could not wait to give it to her.

Here is Alisha telling me NO don't take my picture but I am camera happy and I can't help it!

Here is Ambree opening her present from Mike and I. We got her a Eee Net book and that is why I could not wait to give it to her for she will leave my laptop alone! YEA but it is so cute and she can take it to college with her and it is very light weight.

Well I guess that huge smile tells me that she likes it!

Ambree turns 20 years old!

For Ambree's birthday she just wanted to invite just friends and her grandparents. Rob's sister Emily, mom Doreen and dad David also came to her party. We ate at Red Robin and had a great time. We had to celebrate a day early for Am's birthday this year was on Sunday. In the top picture is Hailey, Alisha, Am & Shannon.
Ambree's friend's that are married came with their husbands. On the end wall is Camile and Andrew  & across from them is Em & Ryan sitting next to David Furlong.
Up at Snowbasin waiting for a family to arrive to take pictures. I had to get my settings set and I was playing in the manual mode and Am had to be my model. As you can tell she really loved the idea on the bottom! The one on the bottom was Am's favorite pose when she was little. I thought that she would out grow it....guess not.

Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house

This summer has been fun going to two Temple open houses. The Oquirrh Temple is a lot like the Draper Temple. It was standing in the middle of no where and was beautiful to see.
Angel Moroni was struck by lightning and when this happen there were cars and cars full of people driving by to see what the lightning did to Moroni. His face, arm and horn were burnt black. I tried to zoom in as close as I could. It was cool to see!
Launi, Ryan & Em, Am & Bridger and Lee on the end. We all went into the tent to watch a dvd of the temple.
Am's best little buddy, Bridger.
When we came out of the Temple it was dark. The Temple was so pretty all lit up and looking out in the valley to see the veiw was breath taking. You could see the Draper Temple on the mountain.

I was having fun with my camera and the fountains. They would of been sharper if I had my tripod but they aren't that bad. It was fun trying but the water behind Am is totally blown out!

The fountains were so pretty at night.

Our adventure to IKEA again for the second time!

Okay for any of you that know me I am never afraid to do anything and think NO problem we can do that. So Am and I went down to IKEA again for her head/foot board finally came in and we needed to complete her bedroom set. We get down there and it's in Draper for those of you who do not know where this AWESOME place is.  When we get the queen size set bought we come out and ah... well it does not quite fit in my car! SO we see the bin of rope and so we get this bright idea to tie it to the top. We really are not THAT far away from home right? So we lay down cardboard on the top
so I do not scratch my new car. Now the place is closed and the employee's are coming out looking at us like huh? SO I never let anything stop me and so I get this head/foot board tied to the top and the side boards are not hanging out too far out the back. Am called her good friend CshaNel to see if her and her husband could bring her truck over for they only live 20 mins away and they said sure! But by the time they got there I had it all secured down and we were on our way!
Well as you know we are at the point of the mountain the wind blows a lot and so here we are on the freeway with the wind blowing this BOX up and I think at one time we were flying!! ha ha
Then I decided that we better pull off and go on Main St so we could avoid this box from flying into someones car. So Am and I dragged  Main St from 9000 So to Beck St and from Beck St, get on Main St again in Bountiful until we took 500 S exit. It only took us one hour to get home. But in the mean time the box broke my antenna and well we just could not wait to tell Mike about this. It ended up costing $23 to buy the part and Mike put on the new one.
Anyways that is the rest of the story!

IKEA here we come!

Ambree put her old bed set for sale on KSL.com.
We sold the set in 30 min. This cute little 3 year
old boy parents bought it for him to have for
his big boy bed. So we took the money down
to IKEA and bought her a new dresser drawers
and two end stands.

IKEA's stuff is pretty easy to put together
and well Mike did not think that we could
do it...

and we did it! We watched Father of the Bride 1 and 2 while
we put them all together.

Here is the finished products!

Ambree's midnight ride on Antelope Island

Here is the people that Ambree works with and a friend of
Dr Eggert. Dr Eggert paid for all of the ones that wanted to
join in the fun. He put everyone’s bike on the back of his car.
They went 24 miles from the Marina to the Ranch and
back! Way to go guys.

Fireworks for the Fourth

I thought this was really cool with the full moon! This would
of been better if I had a tripod.

We laid our blankets out early so we could all reunite to
listen to the concert at Layton park and then watch the
fireworks after.

Ambree and her friend Madison before the concert.
