Happy Halloween!

Today was Halloween
and also my mom's
70th birthday. Here
is my great nephew
Zac what a cute lion!
Great Grandma
gave Zac his little
bib and ghost
rattle. Mom and
dad gave us all
a bag of candy
and $5 to spend!

Raking up the leaves

So we decided to hurry up and rake up the leaves
before the storm. This is my helper...jumping
in the garbage to flatten the leaves to make
more room. Funny thing that when Am climbed
out of the garbage she was not alone she had a
Praying Mantis on her leg!

Birthday celebrations!

Shelley and I went down to Orem to celebrate our birthdays. As tradition Shell jumped on the bed, her eyes as big as they can get with a BIG cheesey smile, just like a kid! Her mom would never let her do that so when we get together she can't help herself. We stopped at Wal Mart and bought some ice cream and took it back to our hotel. We got in the hot tub and we ate the whole thing! We also shopped for a dress for Shell for McKay's wedding and of course did not find anything. We always have tons of fun and on the way home we got lost and ended up going to the airport to turn around! Shelley's conversation got me side tracked...ha ha well anyways we always have tons of fun!

I just love the Fall!

This is my most favorite time of the year! I love that we live so close to the mountains and to be able to see the vivid colors of Gods creations. This fall I and my friend Shelley have been taking an online photography class. We are in the fifth week of a ten week course. The second week our assignment was learning how to use f-stop and aperture. I decided to go up to Powder Mountain and take pictures of the fall leaves. Also we had to try and stop or slow down movement so since I have lots of waterfalls at my work I tried to slow down the water. Here are some of my favorites.

Sunflowers

This summer I took a basic photography class at WSU and I loved it. This class has made me sit back and really look at detail, light and the simple things that we forget to appreciate in life. Wednesday I came home from work and Ambree had picked some sunflowers and ohter flowers from our yard and arranged them in a vase for me to make my day brighter. As Mike and I were sitting at the table eating dinner I really looked closely at the detail in these amazing flowers and YES grabed my camera! I loved what the chandeler light was doing with these flowers. Sunflowers are Ambree's most favorite flower of all and so I decided to print some up to go in her sunflower bathroom. This is how they turned out.

Elder Robert Furlong

August 13, Elder Robert Furlong entered the MTC to serve the Lord for two years. Rob will be heading to New York, New York South mission September 1st. Ambree is planning on waiting for Rob and while doing so she is hoping to finish her generals and prerequisites to apply for Dental Hygiene. Am and Rob met at Studio 600 General Conference weekend in October. Ambree is excited to be supporting Rob and to be running out to the mailbox looking for letters! Our mail lady use to put the letter on top of the mail, then double honk for the family inside the house so they would know that there is a letter from someone special far away! So we shall see if that still happens.
