Kicking off the month of July

To kick off the month of July my dad's singing group "Men of Song" is always asked to sing at the Layton Amphitheater to get everyone in the mood for the 4th of July. It is always a nice concert. Here they are waiting their turn.

My dad loves to sing and he has been in this group for several years.

The song that they are singing here is a tribute to all the arms forces and as they sing the theme songs the people in the audience are to stand and wave their hands. This song always brings tears to my eyes for I am very patriodic and these service men and women have done a lot for our country. It is fun to beable to cheer for the one that served in the wars!

Here is the whole group of performers singing the finale song.

Ambree and her grandpa. He loves to tease her.

Well, I was trying not to close my eyes for in almost every picture they are closed. Obviously they are not closed!

Tj House Class of 2009

Tj wanted me to help design her graduation announcement.
This is kind of how I did Ambree's. The overlay is printed
on Vellum and it will lay over the top of the pictures.
We mounted it on card stock and then we will tie the two together
with burgundy ribbon. Tj is so cute and a awesome teenager.
She will be graduating this Friday from Northridge High.
Congratulations Tj! Her full name is Tatjana which has
my name in hers now isn't that special?

Ambree modeling

Here is the scrap book page of Am's modeling.

Ambree was asked to model at one of my photo classes. I did not get to go because of my new job. Here is one of the many that she gets to keep for being a model for the two classes that Veronica taught.

Women's Conference

Julie, Alice & Shelley waiting to get into the concert. Shelley's sisters, sister-in-law, Ambreelyn and I were hoping to get close to the bottom row. We ended up getting the first and second row. It was so fun!

Taking 5 having dinner in the warm sun.

Cute Shelly and her perfect hair

This was Ambree's first year at WC. It was fun to have her come down.

Ambree's new car

Here is Ambree's new car. It's a 2009 Chevy Cobalt Sport.
Ken Garff sent her a letter and told her that they would
payoff her loan and give her $1,000 toward another car.
SO Am traded in her Ford 2006 Focus and got a 2009with a
five year warranty or 100,000 miles. She also has road side
for as long as she has the car. Heated seats I’m jealous! It’s a
fun little car for her and it’s so cute!
The first picture is a scrapbook page I did for her.

My first indoor photo shoot!

This was Nick's idea to put the baseball hat on with the sunglasses. Notice his two fingers are almost doing the Yo sign!

I work with Destry and she ask me again to take some pictures of her new baby Nash and the family. I had Mike make me a backdrop out of pvc pipe and I found the velvet fabric at Hancock's Fabric for 50% off. So I took my new back drop over to Destry's house and use natural light from her big windows. I had to think quick and still need tons of practice. Thanks Destry for giving me another chance with your sweet little ones. Ambree was my big helper!

Nope we did not adopt...

Many of you have asked who the little girl is with Ambree and asked if we have adopted. We would love to have McKenna but her family would miss her. This is our niece and I captured this picture because of the cute little face. This was taken at their grandpa’s funeral.
They say a picture can say a thousand words. For those of you who knew my mother-in-law when she was being mischievous she would always have this look on her face with the unforgettable giggle. Well my mother-in-law Pat died in 2001. Mikes little brother has adopted four children and after they have been married fifteen years we found out that we were going to be once again an aunt and uncle. After four adoptions Brent and Jen found out that they were having their first biological child. I know that Pat had a hand in sending this special niece to us for she is a lot like Pat when it comes to being mischievous. Once again we find out that they are expecting another child in Sept and I wonder what kind of tricks this little one is learning with grandma right now to bring down to share with all of us!

Draper Temple

We went to the Draper Temple open house March
3rd, with my parents. It was very organized as usual.
My parents went with us and it was beautiful.
Some of the rooms in the temple reminded me of the
Nauvoo Temple. Ambree took her camera with
her for she has a small one. While we were waiting
for the shuttle bus I went around the tent to take a
picture of the temple lit up.
Here we were waiting forthe shuttle bus.
On our way home we stoped in Bountiful and
ate dinner at Chuck A Rama.
